Is IT help desk a part of your MSP contract?

IT Help Desk services may or may not be covered by an MSP (Managed Service Provider) contract, depending on the terms of the MSP and the client's individual agreement.

Clients who require ongoing IT help may find it useful that some MSPs include Help Desk services as part of their offerings. In this situation, the MSP would offer a specialized group of support specialists to tackle any IT-related problems.

However, some MSPs might just provide a smaller range of services, such as infrastructure management and upkeep, without Help Desk help. In this situation, clients would have to handle their IT assistance themselves or hire a different company to provide Help Desk services.

Before agreeing to an MSP contract, it is crucial to understand the extent of services, including any potential Help Desk support. By doing this, uncertainty or future misunderstandings are prevented and it is ensured that all parties have a clear understanding of the services to be offered.
